Quick Start Guide
Applies to: v11.0.0 and later.
AI ChatGPT for Confluence brings OpenAI, Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude into Confluence: an assistant beside every page that summarizes, explains, translates, writes, draws diagrams and generates images, saves the result straight into a page — and, new in v11, connects to Jira and Confluence so it can act, not only write. It runs on your own AI provider account, on your own key.
Just want to use it? Open any Confluence page → ⋯ more actions → Ask to AI ChatGPT Assistant → Summarize. That is the whole product. → Using the AI assistant in Confluence
Setup
Everything a Confluence administrator does, in order, from the Marketplace to a working, cost-capped assistant: install, add an AI Service, prove it works twice, set a budget cap at your provider, and — optionally — let it create pages and Jira issues. About 6 minutes of reading.

Upgrade
Coming from v10.0.0? The update does not install by itself — Confluence waits for an administrator to approve the new permissions, and until then your site keeps running v10. This page covers what to approve, the one save that switches image generation back on, what carries over untouched, and what v11 added.

Usage
The whole product for the people who use it: where to open the assistant (page actions, a text selection, the byline, the space, the Apps menu, your home feed, or the /ai macro), everything it can do and how to reach it, the five quick actions, files and context, the four save modes, diagrams and images, and letting it act on Jira and Confluence.
